The MCTV Message Channel

MCTV runs a continuous message channel on Channel 6 when it is not showing live or recorded programming. The Message Channel contains listing about government agency meetings or events, and news or notices provided by schools and local non-profit agencies.

Local Non-Profit Organizations Can Run Messages for Free

Coastside non-profit organizations (with Section 501(c)(3) status) or governmental bodies can run messages for free on the MCTV Message Channel. These are generally limited to one message per agency. Simply get your notice to MCTV using the form available on this page, and we will place it on the message channel at the next opportunity. MCTV loads new messages each Wednesday.

Content of Messages Permitted on MCTV

MCTV allows non-profits and government agencies to put on messages about meetings, events, including fundraising events, but it does not permit the use of the message channel as a direct means to solicit donations or contributions. Messages should be short and concise as there is a limited amount of space on each slide within the message channel. MCTV reserves the right to edit the message to fit the space available.
